I began as a Pindyck Fellow and was invited to continue my job as an academic intern to the Director. As a Pindyck Research Fellow, I managed the identification and archiving process of the Loeb collection’s Old Master drawings to locate key missing information through research performed with several prominent international databases. Additionally, I handled drawings in the Loeb collection to inspect for collector marks using standard curatorial practices. Other tasks included completing exhibition checklists and frame checks for Loeb exhibition American Stories (1800-1950) (January 29-April 17, 2016). My time as an academic intern was spent supporting the Loeb Center Director’s research, writing and organization for his upcoming publication. This involved managing image permissions request process with international museums and U.S. institutions for the Director’s publication (roughly 200 requests) as well as maintaining database with up-to-date records of communications towards completion of publication. I wrote and compiled original catalogue pages including biographies and image descriptions for works in the Loeb collection. All this work involved usage of the TMS collections management software performing miscellaneous administrative duties as necessary.

Upon arriving at Vassar College, I applied to serve as a delegate for four years at the Frances Lehman Loeb Art Center. I was accepted and acted as a liaison between the Loeb and students as well as the local community. I planned events centered on exhibition openings in order to maximize attendance and participation. In addition to organizing student-led gallery Art Talks, I was honored to give one myself in the spring of 2017. As a delegate, I frequently collaborated with student organizations to produce events at the Center (e.g. MEChA documentary screenings) and organized lectures featuring industry professionals (e.g. Ivan Bart, President, IMG Models).

I interned with the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum in the Marketing and Promotional Department while studying abroad in Madrid and enrolled as a full-time student. Receiving a grant from Vassar College's Geraldine Gewirtz Friedman ‘41 Career Development Fund, I extended my internship with the Museum into the summer months after having been invited to continue. Tasks included translating guided visit itineraries, museum space descriptions and other promotional documents from Spanish to English for website publication. Broadly, I reviewed and edited English translations of museum event, marketing and outreach materials. Specifically, I led the revision of translated communications and promotional materials between the Thyssen and New York Historical Society for their joint Fall 2016 event in Madrid. I was able to apply my graphic design skills by converting AutoCAD plans of the Thyssen to Adobe Illustrator drawings for marketing and event materials use in both print and digital.
