As General Manager my role included:Recruitment, training and development of staff; Ensuring a high standard of food and drinks is maintained by consistently checking quality; Regularly updating and changing the drinks menus; Dealing with customer complaints and queries in a friendly and professional manner; Maximising all business opportunities to drive sales and promote the Voodoo Ray’s brand; Organising the weekly rota for all front of house staff; Making sure all staff’s hours and wages are correctly paid; Purchasing stock, liaising with suppliers and negotiating the best price to ensure the best profit for the business; Being the first point of contact for the venue for customers and any potential or existing clients.

Dorich House Museum is the former studio home of Russian Sculptor Dora Gordine and her husband Richard Hare, a scholar of Russian art and literature. My role included: Developing a marketing and promotions strategy for the museum that will be sustainable for the future; Conducting market research and keeping record of informative visitor feedback; Designing and producing promotional material for the museum; Conceptualizing, planning and carrying out events at the museum; Curating children’s events to make sure they are creative, educational but also fun; Researching and interpreting the collection into a guided tour that I ran.
