Current• Works on Procurement assignments with broadly defined objectives• Contributes to the development of sourcing requirements to support synthetic chemical nucleic acid manufacturing. Researches, evaluates, and supports qualification of products and materials from new and existing suppliers• Understands and evaluates supplier-s process control strategy used to ensure raw material specifications and quality• Applies knowledge of organic chemistry to evaluate manufacturing suitability for starting raw materials (such as solvents, reagents, and small molecules), including evaluation of impurity profiles• Negotiates cost of materials and purchase terms and conditions, as needed• Supports Agilent-s Supplier Performance Measurement Process and work with suppliers to drive continuous performance improvement• Monitors supplier performance and takes appropriate action with suppliers, including issuing of SCARs, to resolve issues in timely manner• Collaborates cross-functionally within Agilent NASD and partners with suppliers to ensure they can support Agilent NASD-s continuing, rapid business growth• Contributes to cost reduction efforts to reduce supply chain cost/cost of goods (COGS), while maintaining a continuing reliable source of supply• Develops, communicates, and implements rolling-forecast requirements with critical suppliers
