I am the Volunteer Coordinator for Hospice Advantage, Inc. in the Flint Region which serves Lapeer, Genesee, and Shiawassee counties. I am responsible for recruiting, training, and retaining the volunteers that work with our patients and families that we serve. Volunteers have responsibilities such as being a friendly visitor to patients, offer respite for families, participate in or run activities in long term care facilities, or help out in our office.

Program Coordinator - I do both Volunteer Coordination and Family Services Coordination.I work from both sides where I find the homeowners we build houses with and find the volunteers to help them build.

I did two years of AmeriCorps VISTA work with Genesee County Habitat for Humanity. The first year I did a program with giving all Habitat Homeowners a free computer and free internet access for two years through AT&T and One Economy. The second year I worked with many different community organizations that work within the Grand Traverse Neighborhood in downtown Flint.
