Responsible for providing general oversight of the CAD Services area within the Geospatial Technologies department. Specific responsibilities include supervising staff, determining work schedules, and ensuring a safe and proper work environment. This position requires me to:• Supervises staff including prioritizing and assigning work; monitoring performance, conducting performance evaluations; ensuring staff is trained to handle assigned duties; making hiring, termination and disciplinary recommendations; and ensuring adequate staff coverage for critical duties.• Administers the implementation of policies and procedures within CAD Services and assists in the development of new policies and procedures as required. • Provide functional and technical leadership and keeps personnel informed of LES policies, procedures, safety rules, new materials and techniques. Assists in developing area and departmental goals and priorities.• Plan, organizes, and coordinates the activities within assigned area of responsibility. Ensures applicable equipment is properly maintained. • Maintain current and thorough knowledge of LES design principles and standards to assure they are accurately reflected in the various design drawings and databases.• Maintain a variety of corporate and divisional records utilizing applicable software and systems. Ensures accuracy of GIS and CAD data being maintained by CAD Services personnel.• Control and monitor the output functions (plotting, scanning, etc.) of CAD Services. Prepares necessary correspondence, reports, etc. as necessary to complete projects and requests.• Coordinate projects and activities with internal departments and external individuals and/or organizations to ensure projects are completed timely and within specified requirements. • Participate in the development and monitoring of Division budget, prepares and processes a variety of invoices, purchase orders, and/or other related documents.
