As a senior level engineer for the Navy Tactical Wide Area Network, Ashore Messaging Local Area Network, and Navy Enterprise Data Center Charleston location, I have designed and implemented solutions on each of these complex systems to increase the efficiency and reliability of the system.Technologies include: MPLS, MPLS TE, MPLS L3VPNS, L2VPNs, IPSEC VPNs, Site to Site VPNs, AnyConnect client VPNs, BGP, MP-BGP, ISIS, VDC, FC, FCoE, SNMPv3, NetFlow, OSPF, ESXi, Red Hat, and Juniper Circuit to Packet equipment and software.With over 10 years of experience in Navy IT systems, I have also provided consulting support for many different programs within the Navy. I am currently serving as a senior network consultant for the 480th ISR Wing for Distributed Common Ground System. My duties include network support for advanced problems affecting system performance, upgrade testing and certification, system replacement recommendations, and technical liaison for TAC and advanced troubleshooting to Cisco.My current area of focus is in the development of a plan to migrate from an existing ATM infrastructure to an MPLS based infrastructure.

Provided support to the OCONUS Navy Enterprise Network (ONENET) campus deployment at NSA Bahrain. In this position I assisted in troubleshooting network anomalies as well as the development of new technology for both the NSA Bahrain Campus and the Enterprise. I became an expert at configuration and troubleshooting of various networking devices from different vendors such as Cisco, Riverbed, McAfee, G2, and Solarwinds. During this time I became the SME for all VoIP related problems and concerns due to advance VoIP certifications and knowledge. I developed and implemented a transcoder to provide conferencing ability to customers as well as deploying a Media Termination Point to provide address hiding for US Navy 5th Fleet connectivity to remote sites.In 2011 I was awarded a Lightning Bolt Award from SPAWAR for my efforts in the Maritime Operation Center Failover Circuit that was developed and fielded for alternate routing for Command and Control systems in Navy Central Command.2011-2013:Worked in the US 5th Fleet Network Operation Center. This position provided the opportunity to work in more of a service provider role and helped develop advanced troubleshooting skills in a service provider environment. This position provided the opportunity to work with various devices to include G2/McAfee/Juniper firewalls, Red Hat Linux mail and DNS servers, McAfee/Cisco IPSs/IDSs, Juniper VPNs, Cisco ASAs, Cisco service provider series routers and switches, and Cisco Call Manager.

Provided support to the Automated Digital Network System (ADNS) at various naval sites throughout the world. During this period, I served as the Government team lead for a team of 5-10 contractors for developing, installing, testing, and training for upgrades to the current ADNS system.As the Installation Lead, I was responsible for nearly all aspects of project development.
