Project Manager

Current

Godalming, England, United Kingdom

After showing a keen interest in project management, Ezekia created an opportunity for me to become a project manager. This role means I am responsible for both the Ezekia and Not Actively Looking platforms and their development and maintenance. The role is also split up into two halves, 50% Project Manager and 50% Frontend developer using Vue.js.I use Clickup as our main project management tool where I generate a backlog of tasks and bug, create a roadmap and Gantt chart views for outlining progress and monitoring developer capacity, and generate reports for our clients.Part of this role has allowed me to take responsibility for our customer service help desk (FreshDesk) to get an idea on what bugs are reported and feature requests, which I can then prioritise and present to our CTO & CEO to plan out our roadmap. I also discuss these feature requests with the customer(s) to understand the full requirements for the idea and ultimate make a decision with our CTO whether or not we can fit the request into out roadmap. As I progress in this role, more responsibilities are being passed to me such as reporting and querying the production database for customers, running duplicate merging on our production database (between 50-5000 records a time) and the onboarding of new team members.

Mar 2021 - Present

Front-End Web Developer

Godalming, United Kingdom

In this role, I had been learning and using Vue.js to create components and features for my company's websites/platforms. I also had been learning and occasionally using the Laravel framework in order for me to branch into a full-stack developer role within the company - but my main focus was the front-end and creating the best user experience for our users.I gained experience with tools such as GitHub, ClickUp and Sentry.

Digital Graduate - Delivery Team Lead (Dtl)/Scrum Master

London, United Kingdom

Prior to starting this role, together with a team of new starters to the company (who I had never worked with before) attended an internal Agile Scrum bootcamp where we got to experience Agile Scrum by learning, then applying it to a new project idea and finally successfully delivering a Proof of Concept (POC) to Whitbread. Shortly after my bootcamp, I started a Delivery Team Lead (DTL)/Scrum Master role shadowing my mentor as part of my graduate programme. After a couple of weeks, I was given responsibility of a newly formed team who were a POC to introduce a new JavaScript framework to the company by designing, developing and rebuilding new sections of the premier inn website. During my experience ad a DTL, I got to use the tool JIRA quite extensively to track and maintain tasks within my team whilst creating custom reports that were used within the team and for stakeholders to see. I also gained further experience in Agile Scrum application, emotional intelligence, facilitating meetings and discussions, and communication with team members, stakeholders and leadership figures within the company.

Digital Graduate - Front-End Developer

London, United Kingdom

In this role, I got to experience front-end web development in an agile scrum-based environment. I got to experience the life cycle of delivering module-based UI components from the early design stage, its creation/development and finally its deployment to www.premierinn.com. I gained experience in vanilla JavaScipt, basic Angular.js and JSP with the use of Adobe's Experience Manager (AEM) whilst furthering my knowledge in Agile Scrum.

Junior System Analyst/Business Integrator

Basingstoke

I have had the privilege of working with multiple teams across different departments within Eli Lilly, both as a team player and a team leader. I have gained satisfactory experience with working with employees across different geographies and skillsets. Additionally, I was strongly involved in the technical delivery of an organizational changing initiative - moving the company to a new delivery architecture (Agile) with a newly defined technical stack (using tools such as Heroku, Contentful, Github and Tealium). I have delivered 5+ digital assets in my short time on this placement that will continue to be used and improved due to their importance to the future of the company’s presence.Notable examples of assets I have led the technical delivery of: diabetes.lilly.se, www.lillyregister.co.uk, www.softtissuesarcoma.co.uk & www.lillypro.ch
