Within the Sadegh Lab, I am investigating how dyssynchrony of cerebrospinal fluid pulsations within the ventricular system in the brain can lead to various types of hydrocephalus via mice models. I hope that through helping to develop this novel model of hydrocephalus, more effective treatment methods than shunts can be created and implemented.

Within the Harrison Lab, I am investigating the effects of invasive plants and pollinators on the native serpentine plant-pollinator network at the Donald and Sylvia McLaughlin Natural Reserve through pollinator behavior studies on nonnative European honeybees and native bumblebees when they pollinate native serpentine sunflower and invasive yellow starthistle.

I am guiding English-speaking patients through their clinic visit, as well as taking patient vitals and filling out patient forms. I am also relaying patient needs from MS/MD to different clinic committees and the blood draw station, logging out and centrifuging patient lab samples for blood and urine tests, and delivering lab results by phone.As a Public Relations Committee Co-Director, I am primarily helping to plan and organize clinic socials, including organizing email communications.

I am assisting undergrads taking the CHE2 series who have questions about various general chemistry concepts in both drop-in and individual tutoring.

At the Lawrence J. Ellison Ambulatory Care Center, I shadowed radiology technicians within the radiology department. I assisted with patient transport to the imaging rooms, advised patients on what hospital attire to change into, as well as observed and assisted with X-ray scans and DEXA scans. I also observed the procedure for arthogram and steroid injection fluoroscopy as well as radiologists reading MRI and X-ray images.

I restocked supply carts, patient rooms, and supply rooms with medical supplies, and cleaned patient rooms as well as delivered food for patients. I also made IV start kits, blood culture kits, and pelvic kits, and took patient blood samples to the lab.

Through analyzing differences in gene expression data with GEO2R and STRING software, helped to identify five genes with the greatest expression difference in glioblastoma.

Helped with grading assignments and quizzes, assisting students who had questions on the content within the course.
