Ryan has two decades of experience in cybersecurity, including roles as a threat hunter, malware reverse engineer, and a penetration tester. Throughout his career, he has honed his skills in identifying and mitigating cyber threats through proactive threat hunting methodologies. His experience in penetration testing has equipped him with a deep understanding of attacker tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), allowing him to anticipate and neutralize potential threats before they escalate. Furthermore, his background in malware reverse engineering has provided him with a comprehensive understanding of malicious code and its behaviors, enabling him to dissect complex threats and develop robust countermeasures. In his current role as a Lead Threat Hunter at TransUnion, he successfully leads teams in conducting in-depth Purple Team investigations into emerging threats and developing innovative threat detection techniques. Leveraging his expertise in network and endpoint security, he implements custom detections and methodologies to proactively identify and neutralize advanced threats.
