Managing a team of 10 operators across 3 departments to ensure a high level of technical work is produced right first time. Upskilling the teams based on my experience whilst changing processes to drive improvements in consistency and quality whilst reducing timings and costs as part of the senior management team.Key responsibilities:Manage the day to day running of 3 technical departments. Controlling workloads and managing the resource needed for the working week.Conducting appraisals.Researching and implementing our colour management solution. Determining the parametres for success and failure and generating the reporting framework.Implementing new processes from concept to deployment within each technical department to improve the speed and quality of the work produced.Responsible for budgeting for any new equipment and machinery that is needed.Introducing training to each of my teams to create multi skilled operators capable of working in other departments to allow the technical team to react to changes in demand in each department to reduce the need for overtime during peak activity.Supporting and mentoring the external print technical teams within our clients with new technologies to ensure that we are providing our clients with the most up to date solutions.

Providing technical support for Tesco on print, colour management, NPD and file setup and feeding that information to all relevant parties.Key responsibilities:Responsible for shaping, supporting and deploying all major projects regarding print and colour management for Tesco.Implement and drive improvements to processes to achieve consistent artwork, repro and print.Hold regular meetings with the design agencies and design managers to ensure the expectation of the design is fit for print.Support the agencies and Tesco design team during peak activity by providing full time resource.Ensure all relevant information for a range is collated and handed over to the artwork and repro team.Recommend and conduct print trials in a timely and controlled manner.Attend pre-production meetings.Key point of contact regarding all matters print across all major print processes. Creating brand colours and supplying digital data and colour standards to all printers with spectral settings and tolerances. Liaising with suppliers and printers in order to meet the retailers expectation. Create range guidelines for all major launches, inclusive of substrates, colours, finishes and any special requirements from the retailer. Attend press passes to manage the retailers print and final production both in the U.K. and Europe. Carry out fact finding on behalf of the retailer when poor print is found in-store then report back any improvements that can be made.Manage projects from conception to production to ensure overall consistency on shelf.

Key point of contact for all ASDA artwork in charge of a team of 5.Key responsibilities:Interpreting corporate guidelines to provide the artwork team with a quick and flexible artwork guideline package.Producing mark up sheets for major ranges outlining all relevant information for approval in the retailer.Managing daily workloads for the artwork team.Retailer facing when needed to provide any information for artwork and print as well as leasing with the ASDA Print Manager and his team.Attending pre-production meetings to manage expectation on print and artwork creation within the retailer.

Creating artwork for customer approval for some of the biggest retailers in the country.Key responsibilities:Producing accurate artwork to a demanding critical path from brand guidelines.Creative retouching.Leasing with our implant teams within the retailer providing quick turn around of artwork. Utilising the latest creative suite to create a PDF database of all artworks using metadata to assign keywords for ease of searching to improve artwork consistency.

Key point of contact for all ASDA related print.Key responsibilities:Leasing with customer account execs and print managers to provide consistent print across the ASDA account.Create mark up sheets and consistency checks for repro operators that provided clear concise instructions.Managing daily workloads for the reprographics team.

Providing repro across litho, flexo and flexible film.Key responsibilities:Producing correct press ready files to deadlines.Retouching images ready for press.

I began my apprenticeship with Paragon Labels in the plate making department.Key responsibilities:Working to deadlines set by production to keep the presses stocked.Producing both negative and laser engraved plates through a solvent based process.
