Member of the Enterprise Risk Management Team for the company, dealing specifically with forecasting severe weather and natural hazards using programming (R, Python, SQL), ArcGIS, and other spatial tools/resources. Our primary role is to run our in-force book through catastrophe models that estimate what losses we could see in the future from natural catastrophes that the environment is capable of producing. This enhances our view of the risk by describing the high severity low frequency events that are often not captured in historical claims data.
