Within my position at the BWL, I continued to leverage my Power BI skills to work on a customer data model to analyze daily consumption data for 10,000+ of BWL’s commercial and industrial customers. This data was instrumental in understanding how the BWL will structure it’s commercial and industrial customer’s rates for the 2022 BWL Rate Strategy. In addition, I’ve worked through multiple cycles of annual P&L budgeting and forecasting for the BWL, while optimizing key financial metrics like DSC, DCOH, and ROA. Furthermore, in developing an annual budget, I collaborated in developing BWL’s first 20-year budget and forecast, which allowed executive leadership a long term understanding of BWL’s financial standing based on forecasted capital expenditures, key accounts customer growth, and interest rate environment risks.

In my role, I have helped create forecasts using internal pricing models to account for fluctuations in staffing, project deadlines, and accounts receivable invoicing for Deloitte’s 7th biggest international account. In preparing those financial models, key financial metrics such as days sales outstanding, engagement margin, and net profit have been explained to Deloitte PPMDs, allowing for effective decision making and maintaining client relationships. Additionally, to gain greater clarity into Deloitte's invoicing, I drafted a Power BI dashboard to track over 1,000+ interfirm invoicing agreements, approvals, payments, and a comparison to budget, sometimes in excess of $1M, across 150+ global Deloitte branches. Continuously in this position, I have collaborated with a diverse team on client pricing calls to work through the drafting and creation of preliminary pricing models and SOWs.

Within my position at the BWL, I worked to assess significant fluctuations, typically over $1M, in BWL’s monthly income statement, across four utilities, as well as providing quantifiable talking points for the CFO’s monthly meeting with the CEO. Additionally, to ensure the BWL remained in line with the set fiscal year budget, I worked closely on budget to actual analysis and communication; furthermore, to aid in manger’s understanding of their budgeted O&M expenses, I developed a dynamic Power BI model to allow for easy visualization of budget to actual fluctuations across nearly 80 departments, totaling nearly $300MM of O&M expenses. Finally, to meet our internal governance compliance, I was tasked in preparing annual and quarterly dashboards, reports, and memorandums to aid the BWL’s board of commissioners fiduciary responsibility as trustees to the post-retirement and benefit plans.
