My passion is helping others effectively achieve their health and fitness goals whether it be weight loss, adding muscle, toning, sports performance, corrective exercise, rehab, as well as cardiovascular training. I also focus on training individuals with special needs, having grown up with a brother with Autism. In my spare time I enjoy working out, playing basketball, sporting events, going to the movies and spending time with my friends and family. I also volunteer at special needs events, as well as with SPCA. EducationI received my Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and Health Promotion, with a heavy background in Anatomy from The University of North Texas in 2007. My degree has been an integral part of establishing my effective training style. My degree and certifications allow me to effectively educate while I train clients.Experience-I started a personal training LLC, McHugh Body Design, and have been independently training clients in Dallas, Plano and Frisco area. Prior to that I worked at LifeTime Fitness as a Personal Trainer and Bootcamp Instructor. My junior and senior year in college I was training my family and friends, and that was when I realized my passion for fitness!Expertise-I have played sports my entire life, since I was 5 years old, and continue to do so. I mainly focused on basketball though and played throughout school. I've played competitive basketball, baseball, as well as track and field. I also play racquetball and tennis recreationally. I've worked with numerous high school and junior high athletes to improve their sports performance. I also have helped out dancers get in tip top shape in preparation for tryouts. I work a lot with the special needs community. I've trained individuals with both cognitive and physical challenges. These challenges range from but not limited to Autism, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida. I work with all ages and fitness levels; who have a wide range of goals and aspirations!
