The Integrated Civic Facility Planning (ICFP) Program is Council and Administrative Leadership Team directed a transformational change initiative tasked with rethinking how The City of Calgary plans and delivers facilities. The primary objective is to developing a corporately coordinated and standardized approach to strategically planning and delivering civic facilities that drives to community and corporate outcomes including: supporting efficient and effective service delivery to citizens, citizen interaction with those services, development of complete communities, greater efficiencies in both CAPEX and OPEX and deliver mixed use buildings that are more community minded and support the larger city building vision for Calgary.This cultural change initiative was structured using a cross corporate collaborative and design thinking approach to develop a new policy, a new framework and processes to support collaborative planning.
