As a Senior UI/UX Designer, I expand experience enhancements by integrating the Lean UX method of build, measure, learn. I conduct training sessions with business and development team members on this process. I conduct predevelopment paper user tests and update stakeholders with results that drive updates to mock ups and design specifications. I raise questions like “Would a new user understand this decision?” with the goal of being an advocate for the user. Working in an Agile environment as a matrixed resource, I provide a broad range of support for multiple ServiceBench teams. On all major efforts, I support UI/UX development, which includes designing user-friendly and accessible interface designs, HTML5 and CSS3 coding. In addition, I created a suite of rapid prototypes that simulate user environments, allowing for user testing and modification of system features before developers begin to code. These rapid prototypes save considerable amounts of time and money in rework for untested user designs. I also have developed a user testing process and run tests on a monthly basis. These tests provide qualitative data on how to improve company products. Using my instructional technology background, I spearheaded a screen-casting training campaign that provides our clients with easy to understand videos on how to use the ServiceBench suite of products. This involved providing direction on script writing, technology acquisition, supplying standardized documentation, best practices of this documentation’s use, screen casting direction, recording and editing. As the company brand champion, I strive to maintain a consistent look and feel to the product. In addition, I work with other management members to produce and edit the Bootstrap company website and contribute to print designs. Using gamification techniques, I created an award winning board game that teaches users what is in the ServiceBench suite of products and how it can improve business for their companies.

At IntelliDyne, I led the creative services team in design architecture. I was responsible for interacting with the rest of the team to resolve graphic and web design tasks. I continually researched relevant trends that helped expand the skill sets of the team in web and graphic design. I also critiqued projects in progress with team members on a daily basis. I personally rendered designs to enhance the IntelliDyne brand in both print and web, including a complete visual enhancement of the company website and ten-year anniversary logo. The logo was used on the new website and was made into an ice sculpture. I was responsible for maintaining the look and feel on multiple projects using a vast array of software, 508 standards, CSS and HTML. Using my skills in 3D modeling, I provided multiple renderings of government server rooms to serve as illustrations of the finished product that IntelliDyne would provide. Through various projects I participated in, I was able to help make the case for a new $30,000 media lab for the Creative Services team. This lab included extensive hardware and software in 3D and video technology as well as upgrades to our standard suite of technology. As the Lead Web Designer, I oversaw administrative duties of the Creative Services team, which included participating in hiring interviews for designers, project overviews, and task delegation. In addition to the administrative duties, I also provided direct design support on projects.

I produced various designs and supporting files for IntelliDyne and its clients, including print advertisements, functional webpage designs, graphic mock ups, and wire frames.

At Meridian, I was responsible for programming, visual appeal and quality control of courseware. This role included large courseware efforts in which I was the primary lead. The courseware templates I implemented were both 508 compliant and SCORM (1.2 and 2004) conformant.

At Booz Allen, I used my knowledge of multimedia for producing graphics and animations for government agencies.

I designed and illustrated projects including murals, newspaper illustrations, brochures, newsletters and logos.

Established the logo and brand of the Department of Instructional Technology. Led a team of students in designing an orientation website for the local public library.

I instructed a college-level class in creative design using Photoshop, Illustrator and Painter.
