My career has been focused in the theming fabrication field over the last 20 years. In that time, I've gone from a 3D CAD user to a fabrication designer using 3D modeling and CNC equipment as my staple. This paired with a facility and co-workers using methods of productions uniquely creative to the endeavors I've encountered working with Storyland Studios & 3dxScenic LLC; has transformed me into an asset for any technology, arts, or entertainment driven company.Fabrication Design: With an understanding of budgetary concerns, fabrication deadlines, environmental wear and tear on finished product(s), client based experience from concept to paper or computer design to a finalized product.3D Modeling: With an emphasis on design towards fabrication. Taking in consideration what details need to be kept for the overall look and feel at the budget required. This will help to save time in either creating a new model, or in many cases taking an existing file that doesn't import properly with the industrial engineering software, and re-modeling it to "as close to it's original look" as possible.Production: I grew an understanding of production fabrication; Taking a single rapid prototype part to the next level and mass producing with short deadlines. The importance of logical pre-planning with any task; as its effect on the job at hand can be crippling, if done improperly or not at all. Awareness of determining factors for cost, quality, and speed of parts being produced under pressure.CNC Equipment: I have experience setting up, running and maintaining multiple CNC routers, and hotwire machines. File conversion, re-topology, and tool pathing for 3 & 4 axis CNC machines and offline programming for a Kuka robot.My goal is to continue to work in the field of the arts, in 3D modeling, fabrication design, and fabrication; and learning new techniques in conceptual design and painting for entertainment design.
