Manage team of 3 in a category which includes Household Appliances, Whiteware, Heating/Cooling; highly complex due to the regulatory/risky nature, high retail and high cube which require a strong execution of retail buying and management principles to maximise ROISince joining the category, have driven and executed an end-to-end strategic rehaul of the category including: full re-build of range and its architecture, full marketing re-brand, developed and established new product development critical path with integration of internal QA and full re-launch of in-store environment.Supplier base was strategically re-assessed or re-sourced and the entire programme tendered, developed and landed within 1 year.All the above also happened in a high-profile environment, involving presentations and input from various levels of executive management through the process.

• Main categories of responsibility include Camping and Fishing, as part of a greater Outdoor team that looks after BBQ’s and Outdoor furniture ranges for The Warehouse• Build and manage Sales, GP$ and Stock Budgets, and report on these weekly, monthly and annually.• Build and implement strategy of Camping and fishing category: including building brand structures that provide clear trade up opportunities, set a competitive pricing strategy, and translate into continuous innovation in products and product ranges.• Build new and effective sourcing opportunities.• Increased efficiency and profitability through productive and balanced supplier relationship management.• Manage category promo plans with weekly mailers and seasonal catalogues.

Areas covered have included Fishing, Bikes, Scooters/Skateboards, Seasonal Sports, Exercise Equipment and Machines and more recently Camping.Have helped set long-term strategy, reviewing previous ranges and applying findings in order to grow new opportunities and regain lost ground. Managed buying cycle end-to end, from ranging and sourcing through to promotions, trading and stock management in order to meet and beat financial goals.

Supported all areas of the buying cycles, focusing more closely on stock and promotional management.Key achievements included:-Promotional Management of the company's annual Fireworks campaign-Project Management of a functional children's motorbike that was a high-profile Christmas offering and required a great deal of coordination due to regulatory and technical implications

Acted as key conduit between Merchandise and Marketing departments.Worked closely with high-level Management to help ensure promotional execution reflected tactical plans and strategic goals set by Merchandise leaders.
