Project leader and project landscape architect for a number of projects on all landscape work stages from feasibility to completion through to maintenance on various schemes including several major urban extensions, national distribution centres, sports stadium developments, hotel and leisure facilities, retail and commercial centres.As part of the RGA Management Team, responsibilities extended to maintaining a strong rapport with key clients, winning new work and promotion and expansion of RGA’s existing landscape and urban design portfolio. Other management duties included preparing fee proposals, carrying out staff appraisals, developing RGA’s graphic and design capabilities, project resource management and mentoring junior staff.

Involved in a wide range of schemes from small scale to multi million pound, mixed use, corporate and retail developments. Responsibilities included client liaison, preparation of detailed hard and soft landscape designs, preparation of expert reports, landscape planning, planning negotiations, contract administration and site supervision for several major retail chains including Sainsbury’s. Also responsible for managing sub-consultants and junior team members and general project management, including meeting invoicing targets and delivering schemes on budget.

Provided design expertise on wide range of projects from market town regeneration initiatives and village enhancement schemes to highway and bridge installation schemes. Liaised regularly with clients, manufacturers, suppliers, contractors and other disciplines within and outside the County Council. Attended Parish and Council meetings and conducted a number of public consultations on behalf of the Council. Other responsibilities included commenting on planning applications, project management and providing technical support to the senior and principal staff, particularly in the production of computer and hand rendered visualisations. Prepared and administered landscape contract documentation (JCLI and JCT MW) for hard and soft landscape construction works and maintenance.
