PLUHO is an LGBTIQ community-building organisation in Malaysia that focuses on empowerment and providing services. ▪ I have led the establishment of an LGBTIQ shelter and transitional home in Klang Valley in 2021 through a partnership with Pelangi Campaign and Jejaka, and in consultation with several organisations including Justice For Sisters and Women's Aid Organisation.▪ Assisted in the establishment of BlueBird, an LGBTIQ+ affirming mental health service via interviewing and screening mental health professionals, engaged in training and sensitisation, recruitment of volunteers, and providing outreach and para-counselling to clients seeking therapy services.

Provided outreach for HIV/STI testing services to GBQ men under the Global Fund Programme in partnership with KL Aids Support Services through the Differentiated Health Services for Key Populations (DHSKP) program.

As the Communications Officer of ILGA Asia, the International LGBTI association of the Asian Region, I spark and steer the public discourse surrounding LGBTIQ rights in Asia.▪ Implementing a research-based communication strategy that has led to an increase of social media presence by over 200% in the span of a year.▪ Produced and project managed a podcast 'LGBT* and Faith' with Salzburg Global Seminar through coordinating with a network of 16 fellows and thought leaders, to voice the episodes, and to host a webinar promoting the series with over 100 registrants. ▪ Ran several campaigns highlighting issues including that of women, refugees, disabled people, racial minorities and of other identities as they intersect with SOGIESC.

I was the Assoc. Editor of Queer Lapis, an LGBTIQ+ community media organisation and website for almost 2 years. I Established my role after writing and receiving a grant from De La Salle University (DLSU) under the Democratic Discourse Series (DDS) programme.▪ I published 80 articles, 16 visuals and videos, and produced 4 webinars, reaching up 50,000 views, cumulatively reaching over 300,000 audiences.▪ Provided coordination support in a decriminalisation campaign supporting a strategic litigation case with Justice for Sisters, ultimately leading to the removal of a Syariah law in Selangor banning consensual sex between men.▪ Coordinated with local writers, creatives, academics, and other media organisations to produce content and affirming LGBTIQ narratives in Malaysia.

▪ Edited an article on race-based rental discrimination that achieved the most shares in publication history (at that time) at 33k shares and 300k engagements.▪ Successfully managed WOB's Facebook page with over 900k followers▪ Supervised the content workflow of the weekend team made up of 3 core writers.▪ Wrote persuasive and relatable social media captions and copy that appeals to a young Malaysian audience.

▪ In under 6 months, increased Alexa ranking of observer.news in Singapore from 3,980 to 1,317 and;▪ Generated 7 million non-unique page views.▪ Helped create and execute a content strategy based on analytics and competitor analysis to appeal to Singaporean audiences.▪ Utilised a wide range of writing styles tailored to specific audiences: business, lifestyle, hard news, long-form, scientific, and commentary.
