I gravitate towards cross-functional, collaborative environments where I am able to implement customer empathy into product development. After graduating, I accepted a job at a promising insurtech startup called Next Insurance as a member of their UpNext Rotational Program. I spent the first half of the rotation on the Product Marketing team, where I was responsible for launching and growing revenue in several priority industry segments. Utilizing customer and UX research, I identified market size opportunities and potential target audiences within the segments I was tasked with growing. I then created Go-to-Market plans that required cross-functional assistance from various teams, such as Content, Creative, Product, and Insurance. My second rotation was on the Operations team, where I worked extremely closely with customer service agents to solve and automate customer issues. With a deep understanding of the customer journey, I was able to leverage the empathy I had for our customers and fix operational, website, and portal issues that frequently challenged the common customer. Throughout college, I spearheaded many entrepreneurial campaigns, including Bagel Rush, which was created amidst COVID related lockdowns. Bagel Rush served as a bagel delivery service that safely delivered the best bagels Long Island has to offer during a time where most were unable to access these goods and services.
