In this dual-focused role I manage the day-to-day operations of the Lab at A to Z Wineworks, requesting, performing and supervising lab analyses, creating bench top trials, and communicating results to both the winemaking team and cellar team. As Research Assistant I explore new areas of interest, from current scientific journals, equipment manufacturers and other sources to find new areas of improvement for the lab. I also manage and analyze digital and physical libraries of data to find trends.

As Cellar Lead, I work closely with the Cellar Master and Winemaking team to ensure successful operation of all wine actions in the cellar. My role includes delegating work orders and tasks, prioritizing actions, and seeing the wine through each step. In addition I work with the Lab for QC purposes and facility management for a smooth operation as well. I also resumed overseeing the night shift team during harvest.

My responsibilities included, in addition to my previous roles:Coordinating with winemakers and day shift supervisors with continuing projects.Work order management and delegation.Closing and shut down practices.Scheduling requests and information.

In addition to my role as a Cellar Associate, as Cellar & Bottling Liaison I was responsible for:Preparing all finished, blended wine for delivery to a bottling line.Measuring and adjusting Dissolved Oxygen and Dissolved Carbon Dioxide levels in finished wine.Making any necessary additions to finished wine.Record-log keeping of movements of wine to the bottling linePrioritizing start times and continual operation of the bottling line with regards to wine being ready.
