Along with those MainStage events, we also had weekly specialty events; such as Karaoke, Novelty Nights, “Dancing with the Stars” style events, talent shows, etc. My job duties included all aspects of these events: Scheduling, Staff Training, Directing Productions, Performing in Productions, Set Building/Painting, and hosting all specialty events. We also had specialty weekends in the spring and fall that I would fully plan, organize and run. These weekends included Halloween Haunted Houses and Hayrides, Murder Mystery Weekend performances and activities, Fourth of July Celebration Events, Carnivals, etc.Activities:The activities department ran one event per hour for 8 different age groups every day of the week. My job duties included Training and Managing a staff of 60, Customer Service and Crisis Management, creating the workflow training materials for 100+ unique events, interviewing candidates, working as a liaison between departments to avoid scheduling conflicts, coordinating the facilitation of tournaments and bracketeering, inventory and equipment management, etc.Guest Relations:Through our Guest Relations Department, I handled any resort-wide questions and concerns of our guests. These duties ranged from rebooking sites for next season, booking show tickets, scheduling activities, deescalation of irate guests, communications with the administration office, booking dinner reservations, problem solving and answering questions regarding all aspects of the resort.
