I worked part time as a Human Resources Coordinator at A Bread Affair while completing the final year of my Business Degree. My main responsibilities as Human Resources Coordinator included performing the full cycle of recruitment for various positions at A Bread Affair's two locations, including developing job descriptions, posting job advertisements on job boards, screening job candidates, interviewing candidates, conducting reference checks, making the hiring decision, on-boarding new hires, and liaising with supporting staff about training the new hires. Additional responsibilities I took on included performing various administrative tasks in our HRIS (ADP), drafting and filing various documents for employees, designing and implementing on-boarding procedures for new hires, and ensuring new hires complete all the necessary training.

After working as a Grocery Clerk at the Penticton IGA for a year, I was promoted to Grocery Manager in September of 2018. I worked as a Grocery Manager during my entire grade 12 year, on summer/winter breaks when I returned to Penticton from University, and for the entirety of the COVID-19 pandemic when classes were online. In this position my main responsibilities included: -Writing frozen, dairy, and grocery orders to ensure shelves are adequately stocked. -Addressing any and all customer concerns in a diplomatic and professional manner to ensure continued customer loyalty and satisfaction. -Merchandising products in a way that is visually appealing to customers to increase sales and overall store presentation. -Negotiating with sales representatives to bring in new products to sell customers while maintaining high profit margins. -Matching incoming orders to their corresponding invoices to ensure we received all the products we paid for.

In this role my main responsibilities included: -Facing products to increase store attractiveness and ensure all items were easily accessible for customers. -Operating a cash register during busy hours to provide relief for cashiers and to ensure customers were being serviced in a timely manner. -Stocking shelves to ensure adequate product availability for customers. -Delivering supreme customer service to customers to create a welcoming and friendly shopping experience.

My role as a soccer coach included teaching kids to learn the various strategies, techniques, rules, and skills required to play the game of soccer. During this work experience I utilized skills like public speaking, managing large groups of people, and how to train and develop kids to improve their soccer skills.
