As of February 2021, I now oversee two teams in Treasury and the overall delivery. The role includes both the People Leader side of the house, as well as the technical delivery that the teams are in need of completing.Both of these teams supports legacy applications, while working to build independent micro-services that will enable us to move away from Vendor applications at some point in the future.

Included in this role and the previous role, job functions are as follows:Manage a team of engineers as we delivery solutions for our Finance Technology teams. Current work resides around the General Ledger and the data movement both in and out of the application.In 2018, we stood up pipelines to both move data in and out of our applications using AWS channels rather than the previously used on-prem methods of moving/enhancing data.Once the pipelines were stable, we put 200+ interfaces on these pipelines to move 100% of our data movement from on-premise to AWS.AWS Technologies included, but not limited to... s3, ec2, lambda, emr, sqs.Recently,Led the kick-off of a project where we explored options, both internal and external, for streaming our Database activity into AWS. Research into Kafka and other data movement utilities to achieve that goal. Other efforts also incorporated similar research and analytical efforts to identify the best way to approach a technical problem, thinking beyond simply something that "works"... but more identifying a solution that was best for the entire organization and something that would be an appropriate investment of time and resources given the vision of the company.

As a Business Systems Analyst in Global Finance IT. I handle the IT interfacing of incoming Capital One financial data into our General Ledger system within People Soft. As new source systems are stood up for our Capital One products, I work with the Source System to make sure we are receiving the proper Journal Entry data. I will document and walk them through our File Specifications and ensure there is proper understanding. For those of these Source Systems that require Regulatory Reporting to the Federal Reserve, I aid in mapping required data from the Source System to write Pseudo Code that is used to calculate proper values required by the Federal Reserve.I also create queries in a SQL tool within People Soft. I have also headed a project to archive an acquired company's People Soft GL data into our internal database. Beginning in June 2014, I was appointed the key resource to research and understand Tableau and its potential use for our stakeholders. I have done research on the tool and performed a Proof of Concept and multiple demos to management to display the benefit of our department leveraging this tool.The primary skills that have been used thus far in this role are as follows: Tableau, Documentation, Leading Meetings, Mapping of Source System data, SQL writing, being an SME (Subject Matter Expert) of our team's processes and exercising of required responsibilities. I was appointed a lead in researching and deploying Tableau as a tool for our business partners.
