As the Audio Visual (AV) Operations Coordinator, I oversee system repairs, and manage a repair budget and relationships with repair vendors working at Nike WHQ. I'm also responsible for managing and maintaining our in-house cable TV broadcast system and service to endpoints throughout Nike WHQ. In addition, I coordinate the moving of AV equipment between offices, communicating with end users to understand needs, share expected costs, and ensure proper vendor execution.

I was responsible for writing music features and featurettes, as well as calendar blurbs. My duties included pitching stories, arranging and conducting interviews and drafting clean, informative copy for the music section. I was also the arts intern during my first go around with the magazine in 2008, assisting the editors in data entry, weekly editorial meetings, transcribing interviews and contributing regularly.

I was employed as a staff writer for Oregon’s gay, lesbian, bisexual and trans news magazine. My duties included covering local business profiles, local news, arts and culture, and statewide politics. I conducted interviews, adhered to strict deadlines and assisted the editor in copy editing and content development. I also contributed heavily to our blog site and to our social media campaigns.

As managing editor for Synthesis’ weekly entertainment paper, I oversaw and planned weekly content, managed a team of freelance writers, assigned stories, set up interviews, acted as copy editor, provided cover text, set up live concert reviews, sustained correspondences with industry publicists and acted as liaison for business-related interests, while instituting strict deadlines for proper production requirements. I also worked as associate editor for two other in-house publications, as well as for our national glossy magazine.
