My role at Readify transitioned into a role at Telstra Purple.Telstra Purple is the largest Australian-owned technology services business, bringing together the capabilities of Telstra Enterprise and a number of its recently acquired companies (including Readify), focused on outcome-based, transformative tech solutions. We are a team of over 1500 experts managing leading-edge technology experiences across cloud, software, data and analytics, design, network, security, collaboration and mobility. The majority of my role at Readify was a consulting role as a Senior .NET Developer working with local, national and international clients within various stages of software projects from inception to maintenance. As a consultant I gained exposure, experience and expertise in a wide ranging number of technologies from HoloLens, to native mobile development, to microservices utilising Kubernetes in Azure and AWS.During my time at Readify I presented at a number of conferences, from local community driven DDD's to NDC Sydney.Highlights include:- Working alongside a team in Redmond at Microsoft for several months to develop a bespoke HoloLens application- Leadership of varied cross-functional teams utilising and/or uplifting Agile practices- Developed architecture & integration for mobile cross platform solutions- Development of web applications utilising complex & varied third party services- Migration of applications utilising on premise infrastructure to cloud-based Microsoft Azure platforms and services - Mediation of delivery processes between stakeholders- Delivery of presentations to clients and industry on agile & testing methodologies

Instructed courses after hours through Open Universities Australia involving online facilitation along with on-campus lecturing of both graduate & postgraduate courses. Consistently received high feedback from both academic staff and students.Courses that were under my instruction include Software Engineering Project Management, Introduction to Information Technology, Software Requirements Engineering & Web Development Technologies (ASP.NET Core).

Continuation of my role from Friday Media after acquisition

Software Engineering role with some Project Management duties, responsible for the delivery of small to medium scale CMS website projects and technical lead for medium scale WPF/.NET applications.Highlights include:- Architecture designer & lead developer for WPF applications written in C# utilising Continuous Integration & Test Driven Development. Applications were developed using the MVVM pattern integrating with third party BIM/CAD products over WCF- Development of application databases utilising code-first Entity framework migrations and repositories- UI & backend development for Content Management Systems including Umbraco & CMS Made Simple utilising jQuery- Improving usability & user satisfaction through User Experience workshops for web applications- Administration of Linux and Windows servers running LAMP/WIMP stacks- Maintenance of Continuous Integration environment utilising Jenkins- Successful management of software projects of 3-6 months duration with local, national and international clients- Responsible for leading and co-ordinating the integration of Agile practices into the business to complement or replace Waterfall practices- Responsible for requirements gathering and story estimation for new .NET projects- Mentoring and training new interns

Consultancy role for a global client developing an enterprise scale application used worldwide.Highlights include:- Drove culture & development methodology change to successfully migrate from a failing Waterfall SDLC to an Agile approach utilizing CI & TDD- Contributed to the architecture, design & evolution of a large client/server .NET WinForms application written in both VB.NET & C# and integrating with managed C++ libraries- Developed multi-threaded asynchronous business layer using Task Parallel Library- Developed procedures to improve performance & reduce deadlocks in the MSSQL data layer- Integrated numerous third party packages including libraries for user controls, BIM/CAD integration, reporting & application analytics- Conducted successful national UX workshops to improve client satisfaction & usability ratings using prototyping, personas & peer reviews- Led a project to design, architect & develop a WPF UI wizard using WinForms interop to improve data binding performance & separation of concerns within the host application- Administration of Windows Server environments for application deployment
