Spent by far the most time here. First two years spent remotely at the Kauai Pacific Missile Range Facility (PMRF). At PMRF I supported the Base Protection Laboratory which was an Office of Naval Research sponsored project to investigate and provide real world data for Behavioral Analysis Algorithm Research. Basically, trying to infer a persons intent through their movements. During this time, I also worked remotely on other company software projects. One of these projects was a Native C++ Distributed Application that was inherited for doing simulation of echo location of submarines. I built a java GUI testing framework for it and added WAV sound file support.My last three years at Referentia has been working on the T-REX group. T-REX is a time series database product. I have done a lot of Transport and Middleware level development. This has included the development of many remote interfaces including java, C#, and python remote clients. Data conditioning has also been a big part, we have had to figure out how to integrate with different data sources including several RDMS products such that we could load the data. Performance, integration, unit, and system level testing have all been involved. My favorite project, out of the time I spent with the T-REX group, was a Network Diode Bridge. This Bridge was designed to transport our application level specific messaging protocol across a UDP link in a lossless manner using Forward Error Correct (FEC).

The Kauai branch of Trex Enterprises manufactures Silicon Carbide. I assisted with additions to the plant process monitoring system. Several devices were added with appropriate alarming and user interface changes. The devices added used 4-20mA signaling.
