I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Maryland where I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering and a Minor in Nuclear Engineering. While achieving this degree, I participated in Dissertation Research for Dr. Jarred Young where I learned research skills, data analytics, and data entry.I currently am the Manager of the day to day operations at the restaurant/bar RJ Bentley's. While this job started as a bartender to make some extra money in college, I loved the business aspect of the job and was promoted to be the youngest manager we have had. It has given me the tools to understand leadership and how to create a team that works well and flows together.In my position as Manager I have spearheaded multiple projects for the business that have increased to efficiency and profitability of the restaurant, including:- Headed a front of house system upgrade and financial redesign, saving nearly 100 labor hours per week across the board- Facilitated a complete overhaul of the security system, including the installation of modern surveillance cameras, leading to a safer work environment, and less incidents and infractions- Executed a complete website and social media redesign and overhaul leading to better customer outreach and visibilityDuring my tenure as Manager, the business has seen an increase of up to 20% in revenue annually each year, with sales records being broken nearly every month.This time in a business atmosphere and being in management has made me understand that this is where i excel, and in August 2023 I was accepted to and started towards my Masters in Business Administration from the University of Maryland, with a projected graduation date of July 2025.
