For the last 2 years, I have been the Extended Programs Director and Capstone Coordinator for the International School of Portland -a language immersion elementary school in downtown Portland. In addition to being the director of our after school program, Global Kids, I also am the director of Summer Camp Programming. I am passionate about art, music, nature, and the unique roles they play in children’s lives.As the Capstone Coordinator at ISP, I research sightseeing , collaborate with schools abroad, and coordinate travel for our students and families. In their final year of studies at ISP, 5th graders travel as a group to their track language country (Mexico, China, or Japan) to experience life inanother culture. The Capstone Study Abroad program serves as the ultimate finaleto an ISP education, enabling students to validate their language proficiency andcultural understanding through real world experience.With 25 years of experience in education and working with kids of a variety of ages, I believe in exposing youth to different types of hands on experiences. It is my objective to design programming that helps them gain confidence, explore their world and find their passion.
