 Designed refrigeration systems and supervising contractor installation of equipment for Sara Lee bakeries throughout the U.S. for projects ranging from $100,000 to $1,000,000. Projects included designing systems to replace ozone depleting CFC refrigeration equipment with new packaged condensing units or centralized chilled water plants. Other projects included designing ventilation systems for conditioned spot cooling, year-round plant ventilation, and special purpose ventilation. Duties included visiting a site to evaluate equipment, designing a new system to meet today's production levels, preparing a narrative scope of work with design drawings, selecting a contractor through bid competition to install the equipment, and managing contractor work from construction drawings thru system installation.

Greater Chicago Area

 Projects included preparing detailed mechanical design drawings for commercial, institutional, and residential buildings such as Circuit City stores, Oak Park Public Library, and Museum Park Residences. Design responsibilities included performing heat load calculations, selecting mechanical equipment, ductwork/piping layouts, meeting BOCA and Chicago City codes, preparing drawings for submittal. Duties also included meeting with architects for project design review meetings to coordinate mechanical systems with new building design changes.
