I meet with clients in a 1:1 setting to discuss their employment targets, review their current resumes, and update or create a new strategically-designed resume to help them reach their employment goals and succeed in finding their next job! I also assist clients with cover letter writing and interview preparation. I develop and present weekly workshops online on a variety of employment-based themes.

As a Career Advisor in SkillGain, I worked individually with clients who have various barriers to employment. I assisted and coached clients in career planning by completing employment assessments, clarifying attainable employment goals, researching the labour market, and creating a plan to successfully attain and maintain employment. I also assisted clients in accessing community resources to help overcome barriers such as housing, food, and transportation needs.

I worked in the SkillGain program at Prospect with adult clients who are unemployed or underemployed. I facilitate learning in a classroom setting to help clients build skills in the 9 Essential Workplace Skills identified by the Canadian government.

Grade 8 Math, Science, Active Living CTF

I worked as the lead teacher in a Division Program for students with Mental Health concerns. I provided alternative programming for Grade 5-8 students with various diagnoses. I worked with various teachers in the school to develop plans and strategies to help support the unique needs of individual students.

I worked as the Numeracy Coach at Bert Church High School, which is a Grade 9-12 High School in Airdrie. My duties included observing and supporting various Math teachers as well as working with small groups of struggling Math students.

I taught Grade 7 Math, Robotics, and Foods Option classes. I also was a member of the Learning Support team, with a focus on Math and Numeracy Support, including assessing students' math levels with KeyMath as a tool.

I facilitated a satellite campus of St. Gabe's in Rocky Mountain House; the main campus is in Red Deer. I taught for St. Gabriel Online School which is part of Red Deer Catholic Regional Schools. My job description included: building, delivering and assessing courses online including Grade 8 and 9 Math, Science and PE as well as PE 10. I also worked face-to face assisting St. Gabe's students in Rocky Mountain House and students in Nordegg. I taught in a Blended Learning Format, working with a variety of students, mostly First Nations.

I taught in the LINC (Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada) Program for 2 years. The focus of the program is learning English for settlement purposes for immigrant and refugee populations. Over the past two years, I have taught every level from 1 to 4 in a culturally diverse classroom.
