After having my baseball career come to an end due to Tommy John surgery, I became determined to turn my negative experience into a positive by thriving as a student at Concordia University Texas. I accomplished a double major with a Bachelor of Science in biology and kinesiology, while also obtaining a double minor in chemistry and psychology. My time at Concordia University will forever be cherished as the professors helped develop and prepare me for the real world/physical application within a workplace setting. The last course that I completed for Concordia University consisted of a "kinesiology internship". I started my internship at Anthony Medical and Chiropractic Georgetown during May of 2022. This internship developed into a full time position as a corrective exercise therapist. As a corrective exercise therapist, I would perform myofascial release techniques on the patients and demonstrated/provided the patient with stretches and exercises that would assist in their rehabilitation process. After a couple months of demonstrating high quality work ethic, I was promoted to a lead position that pertained to the coordination of all manual/corrective exercise therapist within the region I was assigned to. I enjoyed this position but I wanted to contribute more to the company and have more of an impact on the growth of the clinics. I am very efficient at observing the dynamics of a system and finding ways to make improvements and this led to another promotion as a supervisor at Anthony Medical and Chiropractic Georgetown East. The supervisor position has contributed to an increase in my efficiency in the following categories, multitasking, management/time management, effective communication, organization, creative problem solving, and leadership.
