I am a skilled hydraulics technician and I'm proficient with electronically controlled hydraulic systems. I enjoy the challenge of working on electric over hydraulic systems and although educated at the tech school level am mostly self taught in the discipline. I am familiar with boom and scissorlift type aerial work platforms, blast hole drilling rigs, and mobile crane hydraulic systems. I'm also well versed in 12 and 24 volt electrical systems and electronically controlled 12 and 24 systems. I am a skilled electric troubleshooter who enjoys the challenges that leave many technicians frustrated and at a loss. Through perseverance, knowledge and skill I always can see the job through. I[m proud to say that I have been told that I'm a handy guy to have around in the shop. I also have a great deal of experience with pneumatic systems and compressors, having been involved in the on-road side of the trade at the start of my career as a mechanic. I also apprenticed as a welder for a while but did not see it through to the conclusion, however I have gained enough proficiency as a welder to serve the requirements admirably as needed in the mechanic trade. I was educated in Alberta and served a government level apprenticeship requiring 9000 hours of actual work time and have completed a four year government level skilled trades college program of four years earning me a journeyman's ticket in four separate trades under the header "heavy equipment technician" I am licensed to work anywhere in Canada and all commonwealth countries. Although I would require work visas to work abroad, my credentials are recognized in all commonwealth countries and are well respected world wide as Canada is seen as a leader in skilled trades training. I also have a class one driver's license (Alberta) with air endorsement allowing me to drive all vehicles, and all combinations including tractor trailer, and bus.
