I am involved in installation of new equipment including CNC's, robots, and material moving equipment (conveyors, Now/Next stations, etc). Work with the Engineers on projects. Helping to get all our equipment put on a network so we can have real time displays of OEE, cycle times, downtime, etc. I modify the existing PLC programs when needed, to track these measurements. Helping operators with issues on their equipment (quality, safety, etc).

Oversee the paint room technicians and operators from a technical standpoint. Help with diagnosing issues, setting up new colors, running trials, repairs, OPM's, etc. Work towards achieving 5S goals, along with other leaders.Write and update SOP's and job functions as needed.Know a little about the washer system and how it works.Trial new equipment and make recommendations to management.Tackle projects that are both assigned and created to help the department become stronger. I have helped work to create a visual display for the the downtime and line stoppages, separated by both shift and lines. This is used to track where our issues are so we can work on them.Helped install "soft stop" buttons in all areas so that the lines can be stopped "temporarily" and turned back on in the same area. Before, they were only able to be turned on in one area.Pushed to get an organized inventory system for the powder paint.

Diagnose & fix problems w/ the paint performance i.e Orange peel, gray, guns spitting, etc. Analyze dirt defects to help determine where they are coming from.

Sorted packages coming in & made sure bar codes were visible to be scanned on the platforms.

Put up & took down tents at county fairs, festivals, graduations, etc. Worked 1 winter doing odd jobs such as patching the tents, sewing, grommeting, etc.
