Ryan holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Victoria, a Graduate Certificate in Values Based Leadership from Royal Roads and is a Certified Consultant with the Barrett Values Center. He spent the first 13 years of his career as an owner and manager of several business ventures, gaining considerable experience managing multi-disciplinary technical teams through his involvement in many industries including marine, aerospace and advanced manufacturing. In addition to his mainstream work Ryan supports non-profit organizations as an active board member, and provides consulting to local organizations on growth challenges and change management through workshops and personal mentoring.Ryan has specialized in developing, managing and nurturing effective teams and has a demonstrated track record of effective leadership through an understanding of the big picture, the ability to discern a plan and communicate the vision. His current position has seen him succesfully assess staffing requirements, develop structural leadership, acquire talent, and provide the vision and leadership for a major expansion in technical capability.
