I specialize in water resources engineering. Much of my time has been in the stormwater management realm with focus on urban stormwater, green infrastructure and natural systems engineering. This work has regularly included complex hydrologic and hydraulic modeling of surface water and integrated surface water/groundwater modeling, the latter primarily in the coastal environment to address rapid water table response during storm events. Work has also included the planning and design of mechanical groundwater management systems, surface water pump stations, tidal or riverine backwater protection systems and other planning and design work to improve flood resiliency.
