I am currently a Communications student with a Media Studies emphasis at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, with a strong interest and knowledge in all major sports, both professional and college. I have a creative eye for storytelling and have participated in multiple team and individual sports for 15 years. I come from a news/journalistic family, and I am motivated to learn and grow as a sports broadcaster. My goal is to pursue a career in sports broadcasting, where I can combine my passion for sports and journalism.I started as a Sports Intern at WXOW in September of 2023, then transitioned to a Multi-Media Journalist role in January of 2024. I was let go in late April of 2024 due to corporate cuts. I was brought back to WXOW in June of 2024 as the Assignment Editor where I monitored the email list, answered phone calls, pitched stories, worked closely with our News Director, and produced engaging/informative content for the local audience. In December of 2024, I was let go again due to Corporate Cuts from Allen Media Group. As an MMJ and Assignment Editor I traveled, shot, edited, wrote, and published web stories for the news and sports block that aired during the 5, 6, and 10 PM newscasts, using various tools and platforms such as Edius, ENPS, Bitcentral, Social News Desk, and Blox CMS. I have done writing and editing in iNews and Avid as well, along with a limited understanding of Adobe Premier Pro outside of work life.
