Experienced Navy leader with a proven track record in leadership development, training, operations, and project management. Demonstrated ability to lead teams through complex challenges, improve organizational culture, and create innovative initiatives. Passionate about developing and mentoring others.Currently, I oversee 8 direct reports responsible for pre-deployment training and medical readiness for over 2000 Selected Reserve personnel across 68 Reserve units in 4 countries. In one of my previous roles involved managing 5 direct reports overseeing a team of 207 maintenance personnel responsible for over $330 million in equipment. I was responsible for both long-term and short-term flight operations, ensuring that all pilots received necessary training while balancing recurring and unplanned maintenance requirements. One of my greatest strengths is my ability to connect people and ideas to improve processes or create something new. One of my favorite experiences using this strength was coordinating with World Wrestling Entertainment to plan and execute the Navy’s first ever flyover of WrestleMania. During my time as a Director, I was tasked with and succeeded in turning around the climate and culture of a failing Navy Reserve Center after previous leadership was removed. This experience was my most challenging, but also most rewarding as I worked side by side with my Assistant Director to create an environment of respect, accountability, teamwork, and trust while working around the constant changes from the COVID pandemic.I am passionate about people and believe they are the most important part of any organization. The most rewarding part of my career has been watching those I've led and trained succeed. Balancing work requirements with personal needs is essential for effective leadership.Outside military career, I enjoy strength sports and have competed in a variety of competitions including powerlifting, strongman, and highland games. I leveraged this passion with the desire to give back to the veteran community to create a World’s Strongest Man style plane pull charity event using an F-18 the first year and multiple World War 1 and 2 era aircraft the following years. As a transitioning service member available for SkillBridge beginning Feb 1, 2025 and separating June 1, 2025, I am eager to apply my leadership, planning, and process improvement skills in Training Development, Project Management, or Operations within the Orlando theme park industry. Please feel free to connect or reach out if you have any opportunities or advice!
