I graduated from Central Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and Political Science. At Central Michigan I was a part of the Model United Nations organization, I served as President for one semester and lead a group of 20 students to the conference in Chicago. In addition to Model United Nations, I also served as an Editor from Grand Central Magazine, a student-run publication independent of the University. During my time as editor I managed 7 students on my Arts and Entertainment team, and the publication received an award as one of top independent on-line college publications in the region in 2010. Upon graduating from Central Michigan University, I was accepted into to Teach For America- Alabama. I taught 7th grade mathematics at Greensboro Middle School and coached basketball at Greensboro High School. In Alabama I realized that working education was the only future I wanted and when I decided I would pursue an advanced degree in Counseling Education. I have recently completed my Master's in Counseling Education (K-12) at New York University and I am currently an assistant academic designer at McGraw-Hill Education.
