I am the Regional Accountant for Compass Group USA. I specialize in the Wolfgang Puck Sector and the FIS Sector. I am in charge of assisting unit managers, chef managers, and division managers in maintaining their accounts and making sure they are accurate. I use the programs SAP and Access to make journal entries, run balance sheets, operating ledgers, asset listings, and various other reports. I conduct monthly Balance Sheet reviews of my region and explain certain balances according to accounting standards and also make needed adjustments to their accounts.Accountant for the Wolfgang Puck and FIS sectors that consists of 200+ Cost Centers· Process daily journal entries in Excel and SAP for each of the Cost Centers in the Wolfgang Puck Sector· Create credit and debit AR memos · Conduct end-of-month close procedures (5 day process) for all Cost Centers in the Wolfgang Puck Sector and FIS· Run and Create Operating Ledger, Trial Balance, Asset Listing, and various other reports in SAP· Create subsidy invoices and Accounts Receivable Invoices· Reconcile Balance Sheets and conduct in-depth monthly balance sheet reviews· Assist units with any accounting questions and handle any concerns or corrections that may arise· Help Cost Centers maintain their A/R reports to make sure no items are written off· Reconcile credit card and cash accounts monthly· Run analysis on Contractual items to make sure GAAP Standards are met, as well as IFRS· Analyze monthly commission reports for Cost Centers per the contract standards· Conduct year end close procedures for Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss Statement items· Helped streamline the development of new cost centers and be more efficient with the set up· Oversee and direct 3 Accounting Specialists for both sectors
