Selected to oversee a detail of 22 employees to overcome a backlog of more than130k cases. Oversaw the logistics surrounding solicitation and selecting of employees, relocatingspecific officers to a different facility, and the culture of the group that would be on the detailtogether. Sought out working knowledge from mentors across the country to begin a new process ofreviewing ancillary applications. The detail was started with a goal set in placeof 70k completions in 120 days. Immediately after the detail began, local policy removed the optionfor overtime. Even with this limitation, the detail was a resounding success. The goal fromlocal leadership was immediately changed to ~35k cases and the detail finished with just over 60kcases, surprising everyone from the participants up to the facility Director. Instrumental asset during operational transition to full-time telework by supporting the entire division(more than 100 employees) as Subject Matter Expert (SME) in paperless processing, logistics, andwriting comprehensive policy to keep officers accountable during the transition.Innovated a paperless process utilized by 60+ employees across five different divisions and multipleorganizations. This process was monumentally impactful and improved countless processesincluding: increasing efficiencies during the adjudication process, allowed for90% less file movement overall, decrease unnecessary transportation of files by federal officersduring the adjudicative process, remote auditing and error resolutions, and allowed employees to work remotely during COVID-19 pandemic. Nominated for USCIS Director’s Award forspearheading creation of electronic adjudication database in collaboration with Records and AID.Consistently sought out for adopting new technology. Frequently tested new applications, trained others on using it to their advantage, and acted as troubleshooter for technological issues that came up.
