As part of my role as a data analyst at TQUK I export data from internal management information systems to produce internal and external facing data dashboards to support the business. These dashboards have been predominantly created using PowerBI and housed on an internal intranet created using SharePoint sites. Dashboards incorporate the use of Power Automate to ensure automatic and regular updates. I also contribute to internal and external communication and reports, along with monitoring a range of external data sources to support competitor analysis and market share information. Additionally, I have and will use skills acquired to improve the efficiency of processes across a range of teams inside TQUK. Software such as PowerBI is incorporated into workflows to complete various table transform tasks and linking of data sources from different databases. Further to this, I also use my expertise in Microsoft Excel to support and maintain the production of assessment materials. These skills also allow cross-team support, along with the opportunity to provide guidance to individuals incorporating excel into their own workflow. This can range from the use of formulas to the addition of macros to increase process efficiency and accuracy of outputs. I provide support in relation to processes and practices aligned with internal quality and external regulatory requirements.

DEC qualifications are delivered in association with Class Of Your Own, designed to engage, excite and motivate a new generation of built environment professionals. My role sits at the centre of TQUK's delivery of these revolutionary qualification. Liaising with schools and centres, learners, the TQUK DEC Hub and Class of your Own, means I have to thrive on organisation, problem solving, record keeping and administration. At the heart of my role is Communication. I have to confidently speak with users of these qualifications and internally report on a variety of information and date to inform the approach of the company. This role is dedicated to quality assurance and I am expected to support both the quality manager and team leader, with investigations in to malpractice, maladministration, complaints, appeals and enquires in line with SLAs.

Once I progressed to supervisor, I was now responsible for 25 members of staff. I also began looking after operational side of the store such as rotas, payroll and weekly management sign offs on areas such as tills and news. Another role I played was with tackling both internal and external shrink. Along with staff searches, monitoring of high values areas and lines we knew were being stole, then using CCTV where applicable to identify repeat offenders. Store was reviewed daily to identify areas that need filing, cleaning or tidying, as well as relaying tasks, budgets and key products to staff. Emails and online reports were used often to relay key information to other stores and head office, plus action store level problems such as negative stock, stopped sellers and opportunity lines to keep the store as profitable as possible.I have also ran both internal and external events, across both books (local and celebrity authors) and slime. Required high degree of coordination, plus excellent people skills as there were often long queues, or large group of kids.

When I progressed to duty manager, I was required to manage staff throughout the day, such as giving tasks, making sure tasks are completed and keep staff focused. I was also responsible for opening and closing of the store in the absence of a manager. I gained additional responsibilities, including banking, cash reconciliation and end of week processes. During this time, I also led the books department overlooking stock issues and making sure standards were maintained to a high level.
