With over 10 years of dedicated experience in social care, I bring a wealth of skills and expertise to my roles, consistently demonstrating a commitment to transformative leadership and positive organisational change. I am pleased to have started a new role joining the Tavistock Institute as a Principal Consultant. I am looking to connect with like minded organisations and individuals who are committed to improving working life and conditions for people within organisations, communities and broader societies. Simultaneously, as the Director of Crescendo since May 2021, we prioritize empowering social workers and fostering meaningful relationships with children and families. Our collaborative approach involves making immediate changes while co-designing and implementing innovative ways of working, showcasing my skills in strategic leadership, collaboration, and change management. I have worked with local authorities across England demonstrating an impact in improving practitioner morale and creating more time for direct practice with children and families. Prior to this, I worked for England’s largest social work charity, Frontline. Initially as a Practice Tutor for over three years, I guided social work masters students to academic success, teaching across the social work curriculum. My focus on social justice, ethics, values, and practical skills, rooted in systemic family therapy, motivational interviewing, and parenting strategies, underscores my expertise in curriculum development, teaching, and mentoring. My most recent role was Curriculum & Practice Lead on the Pathways Programme where I played a pivotal role in delivering a national leadership programme for children's social care leaders. Earlier in my career I worked as a Practice Development Manager at the Social Care Institute for Excellence (SCIE). I played a key role in establishing "What Works for Children's Social Care" and improving social work practice in Jersey Children's Services. Leading the engagement workstream for What Works, I honed skills in facilitation, consultation, and presentation to senior management teams. In the Jersey project, my role involved co-producing a practice model, delivering supervision, and all staff training. These experiences have equipped me with a versatile skill set, encompassing leadership, collaboration, teaching, curriculum development, and strategic planning, all directed toward making a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals and communities
