Yo! I'm Ryan, a 3rd year CS student with specs in AI at the University of Alberta! As an avid academic of all things computers, I love to learn new things and apply my skills with actual project I can be proud of. Excited to explore the world and would happily take a jump into new experiences and exciting opportunities!As I currently study AI+ML, I've explored and experimented with A LOT of the currents services/tool like LLM, image/music generation, voice synthesis. Alongside researching how they all work in great (and occasionally confusing) detail, I also host a lot of said models like Stable Diffusion locally (where my computer heat up my room with all the processing power it takes :) My AI class also taught me a basic intro into PyTorch and TensorFlow, and I got to make my own supervised model to navigate an agent through a maze. In my own time I also learned various tools such as Ollama and Docker, languages like Python and Julia, and more industry standard tools that everyone uses. I'm still refining my workflow to this day so I'll definitely be learning more software in the future.Previously, I've also used the power of online courses to teach myself C++, 3d modeling (Blender and Fusion). environment design, the Unity engine, and also planning to learn the Unreal engine, React, and digital arts.If it was one thing I'm passionate about, it would probably be video games. Once an avid gamer now busy with school, I'd always had a great interest with all things of this industry. News, tech, I've even finished writing a math paper on the subject of 3D graphics. If I could ever understand how emulators actually work, I'd gladly contribute to the effort of game preservation. It's a shame with how much negativity is present in the gaming industry, so if I ever were to be hired to work, I would hope to dedicate my commitment to a smaller, more personal developer team.
