Lead the intiative to productize our ACH and Check21 technology and turn it into a new revenue stream. Lead internal efforts to improve our SaaS product's engineering operations. This included adding and improving payment processing API's, making our reporting more modern, and improving the reliability of our mission critical systems.

I was hired as a result of my business being acquired by Atlassian. I worked as a senior developer on the Confluence team as product revenue tripled over the course of five years. I actively participated in hiring new programmers and made important contributions to improving and streamling hiring practices. I was also a founding member of the growth marketing team in addition to other temporary assignments on the Jira team and an internal "innovation" team.

Started and built a business around an add-on for Atlassian's Confluence. The add-on provided document management and Microsoft Office integration features for Confluence. The product was eventually acquired by Atlassian and branded as the Confluence Office Connector.

Redmond, Wa

I was hired as the result of the acquisition of the OfficeWriter product line from SoftArtisans (previous job). I was a member of the SQL Server Reporting Services team. Our team successfully rewrote SQL Server Reporting Services for release in SQL Server 2008. My main responsibilities were rewriting the HTML report output engine and creating a new Microsoft Word report output engine. The HTML output engine was the primary reporting output engine used by most customers. My rewrite resulted in a significant speed increase and a significant reduction in memory usage.

Greater Boston Area

Principal developer on WordWriter, an API for reading and writing Word documents. Took the product from a simple reporting product to a fully functioning API. Sales more than doubled as a direct result of my contributions. Product line was eventually acquired by Microsoft.

Kennedy Space Center, Fl

Worked as one of three programmers on the TechDoc team. TechDoc was an ISO 9000 compliant Document Management System. It was used to support most of the unmanned launch vehicle programs and special projects like the Columbia Accident Investigation Board. We won several awards including the NASA Space Act Award.
