Program Manager
CurrentGoogle School of Software Engineering (SWEdu)• Manage a team of 5 senior engineers to deliver the pilot and subsequent sessions of the Google School of Software Engineering to Google technical leads (TLs), using a combination of agile and waterfall.• Own the formation and evaluation process for each cohort (150 TLs) from application to compilation of performance data for presentation to senior leadership.• Lead weekly status meetings to ensure preparation and delivery targets remain on track, and to determine and implement necessary changes in strategy and operations.• Pursue and manage cross-functional collaborations and partnerships with department leads (Evaluation, User Interface, Video Production) to advance scaling opportunities.• Manage the Software Design Education team of 7 engineers in producing educational content to support SWEdu, tracking team objectives and action items in TaskFlow.• Produce and promote advanced software engineering content Google-wide, such as video tech talks, documents, interactive learning tools, and team websites (>30k views).Key Accomplishments:• Equipped senior management with a compelling, data-metrics driven narrative (76% adoption + 33 eng wks saved) to convince leadership to embed SWEdu in overall talent development.• Increased recorded demand for SWEdu to over 1,100 Google software engineers by developing, automating, and promoting a SWEdu “interest list”.• Created a largely automated, comprehensive evaluation flow to measure reach, quality, and impact for each alum and cohort, including time saved and topic adoption rate.• Developed an actionable plan for scaling SWEdu from 700 engineers per year to 4,000 via tutored video instruction.
