Thank you for visiting my Linkedin profile!I have two passions in life… creative writing in all its forms (prose, comic, screen, music) and helping people through struggles (creatively or emotionally).My own personal history has gifted me an open heart and empathetic ear, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology, with a Minor in Business, having graduated with the honor of Cum Laude.My skills are varied, as I have done special care in my personal life (I’ve babysat a deaf physically handicapped child, as well as fed/nursed my Grandfather who suffered severe throat cancer), while professional experience ranges from video/audio/copy editing, directing, acting and writing.I am a published author, by the likes of Ronin Studios and APE Entertainment; I have placed in numerous screenwriting contests locally and internationally (ranging from Quarter-Finalist, Semi-Finalist, Finalist and Bronze/Silver/Gold).I have directed speculative commercials and short films; acted as Assistant Director to plays, music videos and web-shows such as Coaches Cabana.I also did work at Black Phoenix Entertainment LLC as a Creative Consultant on two autobiographical books, Black Truth: Medicated in America and Black Truth: The Last Days of Gotti.So you can see, I definitely have one foot firmly in the creative world.However, while working to continue my growth as a writer, I am pursuing other opportunities to use my bachelors in Psychology and minor in Business to good use; such as my current role as a Paraprofessional at Jenks Public Schools.There’s nothing quite like connecting with a child and seeing them grow… while using my creative skills in writing and improv to entertain the kids when they start getting cranky or sad.I can claim a lot of things, but a full life and job is not one of them!
