I coordinate and conduct laboratory and field testing of construction materials, to include:Portland Cement Concrete, Roller Compacted Concrete, Concrete Masonry Units, Spray-Applied Fire-Resistive Materials, Mechanically Stabilized Earth Components, Grouts, Mortars, Aggregates, Bituminous Concretes, Soils, Rock, and others.I oversee dispatching of field technicians and coordinate activities with contractors.I assist with addressing plan/specification compliance, and Special Inspections. I maintain quality system standards, accreditations, and certifications and serve as Quality Assurance Supervisor. I maintain a radioactive materials license and all associated regulatory compliance while serving as Radiation Safety Officer.I participate in project management and review of field/lab reporting for project completion items.I engage in strategic communication with project teams to foresee, troubleshoot, and resolve technical/procedural issues to achieve targeted results.

I was mostly a dedicated laboratory technician focusing on materials testing of concrete, grout, mortar, aggregate, and soils. I was utilized in the field on a semi-regular basis for inspection and consultation for materials used in site construction.Intermittently, I assisted our geotechnical department with boring layout, geotechnical report appendices, and assorted testing.

I performed project management functions as well as materials testing in both the laboratory and at project sites. I also served as supervisor in the concrete laboratory. The majority of my time was spent in concrete testing and compilation of report deliverables. I worked on occasion with geotechnical engineering staff on foundation issues and sinkhole remediation. Testing focus was on various properties of concrete, grout, mortar, soils, asphalt, block masonry units, drilled rock core, and anchor bolt systems.
