Responsibilities and Achievements:* Officer in Charge of a Stinger Missile Live-Fire Exercise in Yuma, AZ. Responsible for overall risk management, as well as planning and coordination with 5 major agencies and resulted in a successful Combat Readiness Certification, the highest level of operational validation for a 70-person company that was preparing to deploy* Acted as battalion battle captain during a joint exercise with Marine Corps. Coordinated between different levels of command in both Army and Marine Air Corps. Led all Tactical Operations Center activities during each mission, including coordination for logistics, after action reviews, and equipment maintenance and repair, both during and outside of the mission sets.* Planned, coordinated, and managed 10 major training events resulting in the combat readiness certification of over 300 personnel in a variety of functional areas* Ensured all subordinate unit chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) equipment was maintained at a 90%+ readiness rating at all times. Conducted quarterly inspections of all 5 units in order to check operational status and address any equipment that required repair or turn-in* Streamlined several annual training requirements by implementing cyclical certification events so units could always maintain a 95% operational readiness rating* Collaborated with separate staff sections to establish logistical support for training events.
