With a limited budget this meant I also had to be creative with my ventures and highly focused on ROI. One specific success of note, was the development of a community driven social network and blog strategy, that lead to an increase in one brands profit by 88% p/m and a website traffic increase by 200% p/m. Further requirements found me working on sponsorship contracts for our SCR, and developing B2B relations. One particular example in B2B, was the brokering of sole rights to the distribution of another brands product in the UK, with the potential to expand into the EU. The restructuring and introduction to a diverse training plan has resulted in the school rowing club going from an unsuccessful club to an established functioning club performing consistently mid table against the bigger rowing schools on a national scale and considerably higher on the West Midlands circuit. My role as a head coach meant as well as being responsible for multiple employers and students, I provided club risk assessments, school reports, training programs and financial management. Whist in this role I was also working in the schools marketing department developing content for the schools new website and public communication channels. Whilst there I also volunteered in the marketing department, generating content and consulting on the new design for the school website and branding for the school minibus eet. Wist Head coach I also, inline with the modernisation of the school branding, re-branded the school rowing club kit. This was a fantastic role for myself and one that I am immensely proud to be able to report that after a 6 month period with myself lead to his local rowing club approaching him to join their junior squad down to his ability. On my return to the site for the Paralympics, due to my work ethic and ability proven previously, I was asked to be the beverage manager for the site until its termination. This meant working closely with Coca-Cola to manage suitable stock levels of their various brands, as well as their staff and my own for delivery, effective stock rotation and maintenance. This experience gave me an invite to the running of large scale highly important events and developed a love for the creation of something that has the potential to be so extraordinary regardless of its temporary nature.
